I have always loved nature. I used to climb trees, grow little pots of herbs and pick flowers in parks. But for the purpose of art, sometimes living in New York City makes it difficult to find a plant that has not been staged by humans. Living at Hotchkiss has opened the doors to a new type of inspiration that I have never really experienced before. Being able to live near hundreds of acres of raw woods has allowed me to become personal and intimate with the natural world.
